Description

This new exhibition at The National Wool Museum Geelong celebrates Dowel Jones’ decade milestone.

After founding Dowel Jones post uni in 2014, Australian duo Dale + Adam have built an iconic international brand based on authentic design, artistic exploration + innovation.

We were honoured to play a part in the exhibition’s celebration of design + manufacturing in Geelong, right around the corner from the Dowel Jones factory and our own mill + dyehouse, LoomTex. The museum setting itself boasts the rich history of Australian wool + textiles.

The exhibition features classic Dowel Jones pieces + new projects with various collaborators, in a custom built gallery space bursting with colour + inspiration.

A stand out large scale rug featuring hundreds of children’s beautiful self portraits via the Museum of Play and Art was made in Geelong by GH Commercial.

Custom LoomTex tartan upholstery features on multiple Sister Lounges, while Atelier velvet in bright red features on some playful vintage-wedding inspired chairs, complete with pink croc glittering bows.

Running from 26 July – 24 November, the exhibition is not to be missed.
