Instyle created customised acoustic panels for Cult’s award-winning Bower range designed by Adam Goodrum. With Bower, Goodrum wanted to break away from the rigidity typically associated with office furniture to bring a natural and calm aesthetic to modern workplaces.
Inspired by the nests of the bowerbird, Bower is open and gentle with the thick vertical frame appearing to be growing like free flowing vines. Instyle supplied the custom flexible panel, Ecoustic Miniflex that is woven through the timber frame, Its organic and undulating form catches and absorbs noise to control the acoustics.
Achieving the perfect balance between aesthetic form and acoustic function, it is no surprise that Bower picked up an award at the International Good Design Awards. Instyle is honoured to be part of a stunning Australian-designed collection that is rich in organic simplicity and timeless in style.
