Instyle is thrilled to be featured in Studio Abel’s debut furniture collection. Founded only this year, Studio Abel has a single purpose of creating pleasant, honest and attainable Australian made objects.
The entire collection is handmade in South-East Queensland by local craftspeople and beautifully showcases our Feel, Calibre and Tonic textiles as well as an embossed Pique Elmorustical leather.
Studio Abel is the industrial arm of The Artificial, a multidisciplinary design studio formed in 2013 between industrial designer Joshua Abel and architect Salvador Farrajota that allows them to explore their shared design vision on architectural and interior design projects.
Together they use their broad base of experience, including architecture, public art, graphic and interior design, to create a unique aesthetic that is carried through all their products. This design philosophy is based on the use of simple geometric elements designed to express their materials and manner with which they are made.
